Local Markets: OCPV Prepares Legal Framework to Organize the Marketing of Food Products

The Office for the Support of Food Product Marketing (OCPV) in Ivory Coast is working on establishing a legal framework to regulate the marketing of food products, as part of the « Food Security from Farm to Fork » (SAFAF) program. A validation workshop for legal texts and operational tools took place on September 24, 2026, in Jacqueville, aiming to organize local markets and the marketing chain. A draft law, consisting of five titles and 55 articles, was presented to regulate these markets, including a management guide for local committees and a prefectural order project to specify the product journey from field to market.
