Sakaja Waives Approval Fees for Nairobi Home Repairs Ahead of El Niño Rains

Nairobi City Governor Johnson Sakaja announced the temporary waiver of application and approval fees for minor building repairs to help residents prepare for the anticipated El Niño rains in October. Normally, obtaining a minor repair permit costs between Ksh4,000 and Ksh10,000, and this waiver allows homeowners to make necessary repairs without these fees. Additionally, Sakaja has intensified flood mitigation measures across the city to address flooding issues.
