Spain: Samuel Eto'o escapes tax claim of 409,300 euros

The Spanish National Court ruled that the tax claim of 409,300 euros against Samuel Eto'o for his 2005 income tax was time-barred. The tax authority had exceeded legal deadlines for auditing his image rights from contracts with Puma and Electronic Arts. Eto'o had previously settled a 3.8 million euro tax fraud for 2006-2009 in 2022. The case may still be appealed to the Supreme Court.
