A partnership signed in Matadi to promote the Kikongo language in Kongo-Central

The International Institute of Kikongo (IIK) and the provincial Ministry of Culture of Kongo-Central signed a partnership agreement on September 11 in Matadi to protect and promote the Kikongo language. This initiative aims to counter the decline in the use of Kikongo in the province. The General States of the Kikongo language will take place from October 6 to 10 at the Higher Pedagogical Institute of Mbanza-Ngungu, bringing together researchers and decision-makers to discuss teaching and dissemination measures for the language.
