Russia kicked off its annual Victory Day military parade in Moscow to commemorate the defeat of Nazi Germany, although this year's event was downsized due to security concerns. For the first time in nearly 20 years, the parade took place without tanks or heavy weapons, aside from a traditional flyover of combat jets.
