Mali: Abdoulaye Maïga promises 'total eradication of terrorism' after April 25 attacks

Malian Prime Minister General Abdoulaye Maïga promised the total eradication of terrorism during a press conference in Bamako following the April 25 attacks that resulted in dozens of casualties. He paid tribute to General Sadio Camara, the Defense Minister killed in a bombing, and attributed the attackers' capabilities to external support. The government declared two days of national mourning starting April 29, 2026.
