After six decades of waiting, residents of the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area in Bayelsa State celebrated the inauguration of the Yenagoa-Oporoma road by President Bola Tinubu. This project, which includes a 630-meter bridge across the Nun River, connects remote communities to the state capital, significantly reducing travel times and transport costs. The Sagbama-Ekeremor-Agge road, also inaugurated, promises to accelerate development in coastal communities, integrating marginalized areas into the state economy.
