60% Poverty Rate: Atiku’s aide blasts Tinubu’s ‘trial-and-error’ policies as national regression

Phrank Shaibu, the Senior Special Assistant to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, stated that the World Bank report on Nigeria's rising poverty rate indicates a regression in the economy since President Bola Tinubu took office. The poverty rate has surged to 60%, up from 40%, which Shaibu attributes to poorly conceived policies, including the abrupt removal of fuel subsidies and chaotic naira devaluation. He emphasized that the current economic situation has pushed millions of Nigerians into extreme poverty.
