Iran accuses US of blocking fans from attending World Cup

The Iranian Football Federation (FFIRI) has accused the United States of withdrawing its allocation of tickets for Iranian supporters ahead of the 2026 World Cup. Iran is scheduled to play New Zealand in Los Angeles on June 15, followed by Belgium and Egypt. The team was forced to move its training base from Tucson, Arizona, to Tijuana, Mexico, due to tensions. Visa denials have also been reported for integral staff members.
