Morocco’s Culture Minister Assesses Heritage Preservation Projects in Marrakech

Culture Minister Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid toured historical sites and heritage interpretation centers in Marrakech to assess restoration projects and initiatives aimed at safeguarding Morocco's cultural heritage. The visit included an evaluation of the El Badi Palace and Bahia Palace, as well as the heritage interpretation centers at Bab Aylan and Bab Aghmat. The minister also inspected the progress of restoration works at major heritage sites affected by the Al Haouz earthquake in September 2023.
