ADC prohibits state chapters from receiving court processes, engaging lawyers

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has directed all state chapters to immediately forward any court processes served on them to the national legal adviser. The party warned that no state chapter or officer has constitutional authority to receive processes or engage lawyers without prior written approval. The directive, issued in Abuja by National Publicity Secretary Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, follows reports of unauthorized legal actions involving the ADC. The party further declared that processes served on a state chapter would not be recognized as valid service.
