Ballon d’Or: La Liga president does not rule out Mbappé winning, five days before the verdict

Five days before the Ballon d’Or ceremony in London on October 26, Javier Tebas says the final ranking will be “very close” and does not rule out Kylian Mbappé winning. The La Liga president says a Mbappé victory would not surprise him and would be deserved, while adding that he would like Rodri to repeat his achievement. In a L’Équipe reader poll published on October 12, Mbappé leads with 34.2%, ahead of Kvaratskhelia at 24.3% and Kane at 8.6%. Ousmane Dembélé, the 2025 winner, will pass the trophy to his successor at the ceremony, which is being held outside Paris for the first time.
