Don’t compel aspirants to pay ₦50m for forms only to rig them out – Obono-Obla warns APC

Chief Okoi Obono-Obla, former Chairman of the Special Presidential Panel on Recovery of Public Property, cautioned the ruling APC against compelling aspirants to pay large sums for nomination forms only to rig them out in favor of preferred candidates. He warned that such practices could undermine internal democracy and demoralize aspirants. Obono-Obla also recounted his personal experience of having to sell a house to finance his candidacy, alleging that the process was manipulated in favor of certain candidates.
