In March, the casualty rate for Russian soldiers in Ukraine reached a new monthly high, with 35,351 losses, 96% of which were caused by drones. This figure represents a 29% increase compared to February. Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov confirmed that these losses were documented by videos. Additionally, Russia recruited an average of 940 soldiers per day in the first quarter of 2026, well below its target of 1,120 per day.
