Hydrocarbons: Murphy Oil and Octavia Energy Selected for Five Exploration Blocks in Cameroon

The National Hydrocarbons Company has awarded five out of nine proposed exploration blocks to Murphy Oil Corporation and Octavia Energy Corporation. Murphy Oil, through its subsidiary Murphy West Africa Ltd, secured four blocks in the Douala/Kribi-Campo basin, while Octavia Energy received the Bolongo Exploration block in the Rio del Rey basin. These awards initiate a negotiation phase for production sharing contracts.
