Diani rides TikTok wave to woo South African tourists

Diani on Kenya’s coast is increasingly attracting South African travellers through social media, after Kenya was long seen mainly as a stopover on the way to Zanzibar. Johannesburg-based travel agent Tsakane Balonyi-TK, who has more than 15 years of experience, says South African holidaymakers traditionally favoured Phuket, Bali, Dubai and Zanzibar. TikTok is helping put Diani on the map for travellers seeking a different coastal destination.
