At least four dead in an accident on the Lubumbashi–Kipushi road

A traffic accident on April 27 on the Kipushi road in Lubumbashi resulted in at least four deaths and seven injuries. A Volvo truck struck vendors along the road, with the driver admitting to being distracted by his phone. The injured were taken to hospitals, while the driver was placed in police custody and the truck was vandalized by the public.
