Tshopo: Governor Paulin Lendongolia bans C64 march for health reasons related to Ebola

Governor Paulin Lendongolia of Tshopo has banned the planned march of the Article 64 coalition (C64) on September 15 in Kisangani due to the Ebola epidemic, which has already caused several deaths in the region. The opposition, however, intends to demonstrate to defend the Constitution despite the governor's threats of sanctions. This ban has been criticized by opposition members who point out the unequal application of health measures. Large gatherings have been prohibited in Tshopo since June 27, 2026.
