Ebonyi Assembly Passes State Police Bill

Speaker Moses Ije Odunwa said the vote reflected residents’ calls for policing closer to communities and could strengthen local security. He directed Clerk Uche Edene to send the Assembly’s resolution to the National Assembly.

He added that the Court’s declaration of constitutionality is only a presumption and does not prevent a later legal challenge.
