Manacé Lomboto case: JM Kabund fears Félix Tshisekedi is being targeted by a serious disinformation campaign

Jean-Marc Kabund, president of the Alliance for Change and a member of the Article 64 coalition, responded to Félix Tshisekedi’s remarks to Congolese residents in Moscow. Tshisekedi said Prince Epenge’s arrest was intended to establish the truth about the death of Manacé Lomboto. Kabund fears the president may have been misled by aides who claim no one died during the opposition demonstration on September 15. He also argues that the president’s public comments on a case before the courts could influence the magistrates handling it and stresses the need to protect judicial independence.
