2027: “Your bad grammar can wake the dead” — Atiku mocks Yari

African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar mocked Abdulaziz Yari, the APC presidential campaign director-general, after Yari called Nigerians lazy. Atiku said Yari’s grammatical blunder while making the remark could “wake the dead.” In a statement issued by Phrank Shaibu, the ADC campaign council’s director of strategic communications, Atiku accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of denying that Nigerians are hungry and mocking people in poverty. He pledged to invest in social welfare and defended his “Affordable Life” campaign.
