Judiciary must appoint more women to address gender inequality – CJN

Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, advocated for more women in judicial leadership, stating it would improve justice delivery. Speaking at the International Association of Women Judges African Conference, she said women judges broaden jurisprudential perspectives and reduce unconscious biases. She acknowledged progress but called for equal representation at highest levels to strengthen institutional legitimacy.
