Diri urges Bayelsa governorship aspirants to seek God

At Bayelsa State’s 15th Thanksgiving service in Yenagoa, Governor Douye Diri urged those seeking to succeed him to seek God’s approval through prayer and to be God-fearing. He called on residents to remain united, tolerant and peaceful, and thanked them for supporting his administration over the past six years. Guest preacher Very Rev. Joseph Opelema reminded Christians of their religious and civic duties, including acting with justice and accountability in public office. The service also featured the unveiling of “Lively Oracle,” a book containing scriptural declarations.
