Nigeria’s Economy Must Continue Tinubu’s Reforms, Wike Says

Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike said Nigeria’s economic recovery depends on continuing the reforms launched by President Bola Tinubu. Speaking at a Rainbow Coalition consultation in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni, Rivers State, he criticized opposition figures Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi and Peter Obi, and urged voters to back Tinubu and candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Wike called for full mobilization for the Jan. 16, 2027 election, saying cooperation between the executive and the National Assembly was needed to consolidate the reforms.
