Thousands gather in Kano for Qadiriyya Maukibi festival

Thousands of followers of the Qadiriyya Islamic order from Nigeria and other countries gathered in Kano for the 76th annual Maukibi, also known as the Waliyyai Festival. The religious procession started at the Qadiriyya House in Kabara and marched to Wali Maigiginya Cemetery along Katsina Road, led by Sheikh Qaribullahi Nasiru-Kabara. Kano State Police implemented security measures, urging participants to obey laws and maintain peace, warning against dangerous weapons, drug dealing, and disruptive behavior.
