Zimbabwe lawmakers back legislation extending president's time in power

Zimbabwe's lower house of parliament passed a bill extending presidential terms from five to seven years, allowing President Emmerson Mnangagwa to remain in power until 2030. 216 lawmakers voted in favor, surpassing the 187 needed for a two-thirds majority.
