Khawaja denies throwing ‘anyone under the bus’ over Sandpapergate scandal

Usman Khawaja denied throwing anyone under the bus after publishing an excerpt from his autobiography saying the entire Australian team knew about ball-tampering during the 2018 South Africa tour. He said he had wanted to come clean about the incident since 2018. Khawaja said Cameron Bancroft, David Warner and Steve Smith, who were punished for their roles in the scandal, took the blame for the team and were its victims. He said he had spoken with the three and promised Warner he would share his side of the story.
