Swiss tourists escape by whiskers as safari vehicle plunges into River Mara in Serengeti National Park

A safari vehicle carrying four Swiss tourists plunged into the Mara River while the driver, Ramadhan Miraji Mbaga, was racing to a wildebeest crossing point. Despite the presence of crocodiles, all occupants were rescued. The incident occurred on August 30, 2026, at the Kogatende migration route, and TANAPA warned local drivers against reckless speeding and irresponsible driving.
