'Stay with your people, not in state capital' - Fintiri tells new LG chairmen

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri on Wednesday inaugurated new chairmen for Adamawa State's 21 local government areas, charging them to always be available to their people and not stay in the state capital Yola. The oath of office was administered by Chief Judge Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman. Yola North chairman Ibrahim Jimeta appreciated Fintiri's commitment to grassroots democracy. The 21 chairmen, including one woman, will work with 226 newly elected councillors.
