Linguère Mobile Money Operator Attacked and Robbed of 450,000 CFA Francs

Abdou Ngack, a mobile money operator at Linguère’s central market, was attacked Thursday on the track between Linguère and Ngayène while travelling to his home village of Ndia. Two men on motorcycles sprayed a chemical substance in his face, temporarily blinding him, then took his phone and a bag containing 450,000 CFA francs. The assailants also drained the fuel from his motorcycle before fleeing. Ngack filed complaints with the Linguère police station and gendarmerie, and an investigation is underway.
