Troops rescue 31 kidnapped victims in Katsina, Kebbi

Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma rescued 31 kidnapped victims and neutralized two terrorists during operations conducted on September 14 and 15, 2026, in Katsina and Kebbi states. In Katsina, ten victims were rescued after a gun battle with terrorists, while in Kebbi, 21 victims were found following a fighting patrol. The operations also led to the arrest of two suspects and the neutralization of a terrorist kingpin identified as Abbah Alhassan.
