2026 World Cup: a champion ring, FIFA's big novelty

FIFA has announced that the winners of the 2026 World Cup final between Spain and Argentina will receive a personalized champion ring, in addition to the trophy and gold medals. Thirty rings will be given to players and staff, each numbered and with a certificate of authenticity. A limited edition of 2,026 rings will be produced, with 30 for the champions and the rest for sale to fans. The initiative is inspired by North American sports traditions.
