Togo: CFAF 35.54 billion earmarked for second phase of rural roads program

The first phase of Togo’s Rural Roads Support Program (PAPR1), launched in 2017, has ended after rehabilitating 935 km of roads at a cost of CFAF 23.21 billion. Its completion was marked by the reopening of a 32-km stretch in Blitta 2, rehabilitated for CFAF 980 million and serving six villages. The second phase plans to improve 846 km of rural roads for CFAF 35.54 billion. Funded by the Togolese state, Germany and France, the program aims to improve rural access and support agriculture.
