SAP055: Benin invests 5 billion FCFA against the effects of climate change in Ouémé

Benin is investing 5 billion FCFA in the Ouémé valley to mitigate the health impacts of climate change. The SAP055 project, launched on September 3, 2026, in Cotonou, aims to establish a local monitoring center and train healthcare teams. Approximately 311,700 people will benefit from the program, which is also expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 12,494 tons. Local elected officials are called to participate in the implementation of actions on the ground.
