Heavy rains in Guemon: Over 100 households affected, houses collapsed in Bagohouo and Nidrou

Heavy rains on August 29, 2026, caused significant damage in the Bagohouo area, affecting over 100 households. The Bah and Sonhon rivers overflowed, flooding the Moré neighborhood in Nidrou and leading to the collapse of several houses. In Bagohouo, about ten houses also collapsed. Local authorities, led by sub-prefect Marius Kouamé, mobilized firefighters to assist the affected populations.
