Rape not gender war, popularity contest - Ogun PPRO warns against social media trial

DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the Police Public Relations Officer of Ogun State, warned Nigerians against turning rape allegations into a gender war and social media trial. He emphasized that rape allegations require serious investigation and that the public must not lose sight of due process. Babaseyi also noted that Nigerian law does not assume consent based on familiarity and that men can also be victims of rape.
