Poland began two days of national mourning after a 24-year-old man shot dead six people in central Krakow on Saturday. Fifteen people were wounded, including nationals of Austria, Britain, Germany, Portugal and Russia; a British national was among those killed. The National Prosecutor’s Office opened a terrorism investigation, while three bodies—those of the suspect’s parents and sister—were found at his home in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. The suspect, identified by media as Michal O, is in critical condition, and the interior minister said he was influenced by far-right and ultranationalist ideologies.
