DPP Withdraws Ksh 73.5M Graft Case Against Okoth Obado After Ksh 235M Repayment

A Nairobi anti-corruption court has allowed the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to withdraw the Ksh 73.5 million graft case against former Migori Governor Okoth Obado and several associates. This decision follows a repayment of Ksh 235 million, corresponding to assets that Obado agreed to forfeit as part of a plea bargain agreement. The court also ordered the release of passports and the refund of cash bail deposited by the accused.
