12 hotels, malls shut in Lagos over elevator safety violations

The Lagos State Government has shut down 12 facilities, including hotels and shopping complexes, due to repeated violations of elevator safety regulations. The affected properties include The Heritage/AXA and several others on Admiralty Way in Lekki. The enforcement action was taken after property owners ignored multiple compliance notices regarding the registration and maintenance of their elevator systems.
