ASUU condemns Niger govt over alleged attempt to seize FUTMinna Bosso campus

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) condemned the Niger State Government for intimidation and an attempted takeover of the Bosso Campus of the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMinna). ASUU Zonal Coordinator, Prof. Adam Al-Amin Abdullahi, stated that the campus has been federal property since its acquisition in 1983. The state governor, Mohammed Umar Bago, publicly declared his intention to repossess the campus, leading to controversial actions without prior consultation with university authorities.
