Fintiri eases Lamurde curfew, restricting movement from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has eased the curfew in Lamurde Local Government Area following sustained calm and improved security. Movement is unrestricted during the day, while the curfew runs daily from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Fintiri credited residents’ cooperation and security agencies’ efforts, but warned that attempts to disrupt the peace would not be tolerated. He directed security operatives to enforce the curfew and urged traditional rulers and other community stakeholders to pursue dialogue after repeated clashes between two communities over a land dispute.
