Kebbi Assembly Speaker laid to rest in Zuru

Thousands of mourners gathered in Zuru, Kebbi State, for the burial of the late Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Muhammad Usman Zuru, who died on April 6, 2026, in a Cairo hospital. The funeral prayer, led by Imam Suleiman Tanko, took place at the Zuru Jumu’at Mosque. Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris described Zuru's passing as a monumental loss for the state and the nation.
