KURA Confirms Magadi Road Will Be Dualled After Uproar

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has confirmed that the long-awaited dualling of Magadi Road connecting Ongata Rongai and Kiserian to Langata Road remains on course, despite recent temporary traffic improvement works at Galleria. Residents had sought clarification whether the completed works meant the dualling plan was shelved. KURA responded that the recent improvements were only an interim measure and the dual carriageway will happen. President William Ruto announced in June that the government would finance the project through the National Infrastructure Fund (NIF), with feasibility studies already underway.
