Keylor case: Content creator sentenced to six months in prison, including 15 days behind bars

Dakar’s flagrante delicto court sentenced content creator Papa Saliou Ciss, known as Keylor, on Wednesday to six months in prison, including 15 days to be served. He was found guilty of offenses including the unlawful collection of personal data, invasion of privacy and incitement to racial hatred, following two TikTok videos about the unavailability of certain water brands and local products in shops. Keylor denied targeting any ethnic group but acknowledged that he should not have filmed shopkeepers without their consent. The court rejected the National Federation of Shopkeepers for Modernization’s claim for five million CFA francs in damages.
