Police, experts meet on 2027 election security

The Nigeria Police Force will host the sixth Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers (CARSPO 2026) in Imo State from September 21 to 24, focusing on election security. The conference, themed "Developing a Police Roadmap for Effective Management of Security During Elections," will gather police officers, security experts, and election stakeholders to review security arrangements and identify emerging challenges. The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, will lead discussions on the Force's preparations for future electoral engagements.
