Carrick not surprised he’s still Man Utd manager

Under pressure after eight matches without a win, Michael Carrick said he was at Manchester United to do his job and needed no assurances about his future. United have won only two of 12 matches this season and sit one point above the relegation zone after losing 3-0 at home to Bournemouth. Carrick defended his decision to bench Bruno Fernandes against Bournemouth, saying the Portuguese captain remains fully committed to the club. He said the players were determined to improve ahead of Saturday’s trip to Chelsea.
