DRC: Plane Crash in Kenge Kills Top Military Justice Officials – La Nouvelle Tribune

A plane carrying senior military justice officials of the DRC crashed in Kenge, Kwango province, on September 25, 2026, killing 17 people including Lieutenant-General Joseph Mutombo Katalayi Tiende, head of the High Military Court, and Lieutenant-General Lucien-René Likulia Bakumi, the Attorney General of the FARDC. The aircraft, traveling from Kikwit to Kinshasa, crashed in the Manzawu district before being destroyed by fire. The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
