Declare national emergency, save Nigeria from growing terror threat - Kalejaye tells Tinubu

Asiwaju Kunle Kalejaye (SAN), an Ibadan-based legal luminary, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to declare a national emergency on banditry, kidnapping, and all forms of terrorism. He described the persistent wave of terror as a national embarrassment and warned that failure to act swiftly could erode public confidence in the Nigerian Army. Kalejaye noted that criminals increasingly disguise themselves in military uniforms, damaging the armed forces' prestige. He urged the government to formulate concrete strategies to crush terrorist activities, which are now spreading from remote areas to major towns and cities.
