Le Mans promoted to Ligue 1 for first time since 2010

Le Mans was officially promoted to Ligue 1 after the French league (LFP) awarded them a 2-0 win in their interrupted final game against Bastia. The club last played in the top flight in the 2009/10 season and was relegated to the sixth tier in 2013 due to financial issues. The LFP confirmed that Le Mans' victory was 'definitively confirmed', allowing them to finish the season in the second automatic promotion spot.
