2027: Wike Calls Obi Stingy and Unfit for the Presidency

At a meeting in Bonny, Rivers State, Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike called Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential candidate Peter Obi stingy and unfit to govern Nigeria. He mocked Obi for carrying his own bags and described him as popular on social media but, in his view, lacking the experience and capacity to lead the country. Wike reiterated his support for President Bola Tinubu and the APC in the 2027 election, while accusing Rivers State’s previous administration of spending large sums on unfinished projects, including a specialist hospital and a monorail. He also said the Rainbow Coalition would unveil its candidates on October 27 and named Kingsley Chinda as its choice.
